Working on translations and articles about your hobby horse is an interesting and rewarding job. However, it also requires a specific expertise. To produce texts that are understood by those in the equestrian sector, you need to be an expert of equestrianism as well as languages. In the course of my professional life I have combined these two aspects, in both theory and practice.
- Certified translator English/German
- Member of the Federal Association of Interpreters and Translators (BDÜ) and of the German Association of Journalists (DJV)
- Trained editor and journalist, was editor of two specialist magazines in the equestrian sector for several years
- Freelance journalist, working for equestrian magazines
- Studied Agricultural Sciences, specialising in Animal Sciences, Hohenheim University, degree: Diplom-Agraringenieur (equivalent to Master in Agricultural Sciences)
- Worked for a horse breeding association for several years
- Apprenticeship as a Horse Manager ("Pferdewirt"), specialising on horse breeding and keeping
- Genuine horse enthusiast and rider from childhood days
