Translations for the agricultural and equestrian industry

Specialist translations with a pedigree (English/German)

Industries such as agriculture and the equestrian sector speak a language of their own. They use technical terminology and deal with products and processes that are completely foreign to the vast majority of people (and translators!).

In view of people’s increasing alienation from nature, agriculture, and animal husbandry, or from interaction with animals in general, background knowledge and a careful choice of words have become more important than ever when publishing and translating in these areas.

My dual qualification therefore offers you a double benefit:

  • A trained stud groom with a master’s degree in agricultural sciences, I have an understanding both of the context of your texts and your target group’s mentality. Only this way can a translation convey content instead of just words.

  • As a state-certified translator for English and German, editor, and former journalist, I enjoy juggling with words, sentences and phrases until the desired result is achieved.

I create translations from English into German (my native language) and, depending on the subject area, type of text, and intended use, from German into English. In addition, I also offer services such as proofreading and copy-editing.

Equestrian translations

I provide translations on most topics relating to horses, from technical texts and product descriptions through to websites, catalogues, manuals as well as blog or magazine articles.
